Guide Review - IMAP Spam Begone 0.96 - Free Spam Filter

SpamAssassin is a great tool for filtering spam on the server level, or when fetching mail with procmail, for example. It doesn't work with IMAP accounts out of the box. But add IMAP Spam Begone, and you can clean out the spam.

IMAP Spam Begone can move detected spam to a special folder, mark it, or delete it. While this works reliably and efficiently, some may prefer to take different action depending on a message's spam score. Currently, IMAP Spam Begone doesn't support this. It does, however, support secure SSL connections.

While IMAP Spam Begone is easy to use and can save account passwords, a clean configuration file could be nice, too. Since IMAP Spam Begone is written in Python, it should require just Python — and SpamAssassin.
