Use Bullet Points for Readability in Emails

By Heinz Tschabitscher, About.com

You can not turn everything into a list of bullet points, but you should still try to use them in email messages whenever it makes sense.

Bullet points and numbered lists not only make it easier to read an email by creating

  • structure and
  • white space,

they can also be beneficial to the recipient when she replies to your message.

Answers and comments can be given to individual points specifically, and if the original message was wisely structured, the reply requires less formatting by hand.
