You Will Use Your Backups
You will want to use the backup process to move or copy your data from one computer to the next. For the emails you have in IncrediMail, settings and filters this is easy with Data and Settings Transfer. But what about your growing collection of cherished IncrediMail letters?
Of course, you can take the letters with you, too (or back them up for emergency).
Back Up or Copy Your IncrediMail Letter Collection
To create copies of your IncrediMail letters for backup or data transfer:
- Open your IncrediMail data folder in Windows Explorer.
- Highlight the Letter folder and, while holding down the Ctrl key, the content.ucd file.
- Select Edit | Copy from the menu.
- Go to the folder to hold your backup copies.
- Select Edit | Paste from the menu.
- Now select File | New | Folder from the menu.
- Type "RunTime".
- Hit Enter.
- Go back to the IncrediMail data folder.
- Open the RunTime folder.
- Highlight the Letter folder.
- Select Edit | Copy from the menu again.
- Switch to the folder to hold the backup.
- Open the RunTime folder you created before.
- Select Edit | Paste from the menu.
Recover or Import Your IncrediMail Letters
Now that the backup or copy is in place, you're in position to recover or import the letters whenever needed or wanted.
