Guide Review - Junk Muncher 1.47 - Spam Filter
Unfortunately, Junk Muncher relies on simple text filters to spot unsolicited mail. Of course this is not a bad idea altogether, but it works best with a scoring mechanism, and probably in addition to other methods. Junk Muncher simply looks for offending text and once it finds it in a message that is not protected by the white list of trusted senders the message goes to "jail".
The way Junk Muncher is placed in between your email client and the POP server is relatively smart, however (although it will only work with one account), and the program is easy to set up and use.
